For LGBT people
50 and over
in and around Croydon
Silver Rainbow is a friendly group of older LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people living in and around Croydon, who meet for lunch once a month on Thursdays (see the Diary for current dates) from 12 noon to 2:30.
From February
2008 until June 2018 we had a monthly cooked lunch, provided by UNACC (Upper
Norwood Association for Community Care) at the Waterside Centre beside South
Norwood Lake.
Once a month on a Thursday we go out for healthy meals at a variety of inexpensive local lunchtime venues, originally in partnership with Age UK Croydon, whose "Fit as a Fiddle" programme taught us about healthy diet and lifestyle choices. The Thursday lunches have now been re-branded as the "CAGS Lunch Club". See where we're going next and where we've been already.
